Fulham SW6 name derives from Fulanhamme. In the year 691, the area was owned by Bishop Erkenwald. Fulham Palace is a grade I listed building. It was built in the 11th century or even earlier and it was the main residence of the Bishop of London.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe who played Harry Potter is one of the former famous residents. Comedian Andy Hamilton was born in Fulham SW6. Playwright John Osborn also hails from the area.

Fulham is a ward of the districts of Fulham and Hammersmith in southwest London and situated 6 km (3.7 miles) southwest of Charing Cross. It sits on the River Thames’ north bank, between Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith, opposite Barn Elms, Wandsworth and Putney.

Places of interest in the area include Stamford Bridge (home of the Chelsea FC), All Saints’ Church (Fulham’s ancient parish church that pre-dates the Reformation), Chelsea Harbour, Craven Cottage (a football stadium), Bishop Park, and Fulham Pottery (founded in 1672 by John Dwight).
