Osterley Mansion, also known as Osterley Park, is a large mansion in Osterley TW7 that was originally built in 1570. The mansion and the surrounding gardens now belong to the National Trust. Portraits of former owners and residents can be seen in the mansion.

Osterley Park appeared in numerous films and was even featured in a video game. Scenes from popular movies such as The Young Victoria, Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, Top Secret!, and The Grass is Greener were filmed at Osterley Park.

Initially, the building of Osterley House was built for banker Sir Thomas Gresham in the 1570s. It was a manor house. Before and during World War II, it was a property of the Jersey family.

In July 1940, Tom Wintringham opened the private Home Guard training school here, in Osterley. He and other veterans who had fought in Spain wished to help the army and trained volunteers in anti-tank warfare, street fighting and demolitions.

The furniture that used to be at Osterley House was later sold to the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Osterley Park as one of the largest open spaces in London belongs to a group of large houses close to London, along with such surviving country retreats of as Syon House and Chiswick House.

Osterley station was designed by Stanley Heaps and opened in 1934 as a good example of the modern European style in architecture.
