A district of southeast London, Falconwood is within both boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley and is situated southwest of Welling and northeast of Eltham. Opened in 1936, the area’s train station is served by Southeastern and located in Travelcard Zone 4 on the Bexleyheath Line.

Designed and built in the 1930s by Ideal Homesteads, The Falconwood Park Estate is located between Eltham and Welling and occupies the location of the previous Westwood Farm. Most of the estate is made of terraced and semi-detached homes, while scattered throughout the roads are bungalows.

There are many open spaces and natural areas in Falconwood, including Eltham Park, Shepherdleas Wood, Falconwood Park (also known as The Green), Falconwood Field, and Oxleas Meadow. Nearby shops and facilities can be found in Lingfield Crescent and Welling town center.

Falconwood DA16 is part of the Green Chain, the walking network that connects several open spaces between River Thames and Crystal Palace Park.

The Fruit, Flower, and Vegetable show hosted by the Horticultural Society is held here every year at the end of August. Oxleas Wood is one of the oldest deciduous forests. The first mention of the forest comes from the 14th century.

Falconwood Park Estate was built on the site of the old Westwood Farm in 1930. As a result, the railway station opened in 1936.
