The name is borrowed from St Margaret’s Well that can be found within the pub’s garden. The well draws its water from the underground springs that can be found here. The 11th-century Domesday Book mentions this well. If you want to take a trip back in time to 15th-century England, this is the perfect place. The pub has a garden and it’s dog-friendly. Mugswell Mission Hall is a popular local event venue. The building dates from 1903 and it was refurbished in 2012. The venue features a charming enclosed garden in addition to the two halls.
