Plumstead is a southeast London district in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, situated on the eastern side of Woolwich. It is within the historic Kent county, and a great deal of its ancient history have been detailed by Edward Hasted. Plumstead is near areas such as Abbey Wood, Charlton, Shooters Hill, West Heath and East Wickham.
The area is served by Plumstead railway station, running to Kentish Town via Rainham, Dartford and Greenwich; London Cannon Street via Sidcup; London Charing Cross via Lewisham; London Cannon Street via Bexleyheath; and London Cannon Street via Greenwich. There are many Transport for London (TfL) bus routes that serve Plumstead.
