South Darenth is a town in Horton Kirby and South Darenth, a civil parish in the Sevenoaks District of Kent. It is situated on the River Darent’s right bank, east of Swanley and south of Dartford. The town features a newsagent, a post office/pharmacy, a hairdresser, a café and a supermarket. There are also 3 pubs in South Darenth – The Bridges, Jolly Millers and The Queen.
South Darenth has a small brewery called Millis, located on St. Margaret’s Farm, that supplies several public houses in the surrounding area. Farningham Road railway station, on the Chatham Main line, is the nearest station in South Darenth. Operated by Southeastern services, trains run to Dover Priory via Canterbury East and London Victoria via Bromley South. The A225 road goes through South Darenth from Dartford to Sevenoaks.
